About the Institute
Introducing MBI
Founded in 1983, the Modular Building Institute is a
non-profit trade association serving the commercial
factory-built buildings industry on an international scale.
Our regular members are manufacturers and dealers of
commercial modular structures, while our associate members
are companies supplying building components, services, and
financing. It is MBI’s mission to grow the industry and its
capabilities by encouraging innovation, quality, and
professionalism through communication, education, and
recognition.
Serving Consumers
When schools, businesses, government agencies, hospitals,
developers, contractors, architects, and facility planners
need fast, safe and economical space, they turn to MBI.
Often, they not only ask for names of dealers but for
information on modular building in general. We explain the
factory-built process, define the differences between
temporary and permanent buildings, and send referral lists
of MBI member companies.
Serving Members
MBI also serves as an industry liaison. Through our
magazine, statistical reports, and website, we keep MBI
members updated on what’s going on in the business. Through
relationships with legislative and regulatory officials,
annual and regional meetings, and exhibits at trade shows,
we keep member names out in-front of consumers and facility
decision-makers. Simply put, MBI works to expand the demand
for commercial modular buildings, products and services
throughout the world. |
